Alessandra Garzo graduated in Italian Literature with full marks and honours from the University of Pisa. In 1997, she won a public examination and began to work for the University of Pisa. She obtained qualifications in Communications from the Faculty of Italian Literature and Philosophy and in Human Resources from the Faculty of Political Science. She has been involved in tutoring students and graduates in professional development projects and has taken part in work placement and teaching projects with the Camera del Lavoro in Pisa, the University of Pisa, the University for Foreigners of Siena and the University of Basilicata (professional development, Master’s Degree in Law and University Administration).
Since 2008, she has been involved in teaching Italian to foreigners. She obtained the Ditals Certificate, level 2, from the University of Siena with a final mark of 93/100, which certifies advanced competence in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language in all sectors of education and to learners of all levels. She has been teaching Italian to foreigners at various levels of the CEFR in courses organized by non-profit organizations in Pisa and Florence, by the Department of Linguistics and by the Centro Linguistico (Language Centre) of the University of Pisa where she is currently employed as a Collaboratrice ed esperta linguistica.
